03:51 PM EDT, 06/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were higher late Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) each rising 1.6%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector index climbed 3.1%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities index was fractionally higher.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil shed 0.9% to $64.70 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract fell 0.7% to $66.57 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures dropped 6.6% to $3.54 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, XCF Global (SAFX) shares dropped 34%, a day after the company said its class A common stock started trading on Nasdaq under the SAFX ticker.
