09:05 AM EDT, 06/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were rising premarket Friday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) was recently advancing by 3.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 7.9% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.3% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 8.5% at $73.85 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 7.8% to $74.80 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 1.9% higher at $3.55 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Northern Oil and Gas ( NOG ) shares were up more than 5% after the company priced an upsized private offering of $175 million of 3.625% convertible senior notes due April 15, 2029, at 105.597% of the principal amount.
