09:09 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were leaning lower premarket Monday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) down 0.1% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 0.3% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 5.7% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.2% at $65.42 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.03% to $66.82 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 5% lower at $3.559 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Core Natural Resources ( CNR ) shares were down more than 3.7% after the company said it had to evacuate its Leer South mine Friday due to an increase in carbon monoxide levels.
