09:00 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were declining pre-bell Tuesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) 0.1% lower recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.5% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 2.4%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1% lower at $65.32 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.9% to $68.59 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 3.2% lower at $3.22 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Halliburton ( HAL ) shares were down more than 1% after the company reported lower Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.
