03:22 PM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks advanced late Tuesday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index rising 1% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) adding 0.7%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index climbed 2.8%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index gained 1%.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate oil fell 1.5% to $66.21 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent shed 0.6% to $68.80 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures declined 2.3% to $3.25 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, TotalEnergies (TTE) and Emerson's (EMR) Aspen Technology said Tuesday that they will collaborate to deploy digital technologies for continuous, real-time collection of data from TotalEnergies' industrial sites. TotalEnergies shares added nearly 1%
