09:10 AM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were rising pre-bell Wednesday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) was up 0.2% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.8% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 3.2%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.5% lower at $65.01 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.3% to $68.29 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 2.5% lower at $3.17 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Baker Hughes ( BKR ) shares were up more than 2% after the company reported higher Q2 adjusted diluted earnings.
