09:06 AM EDT, 08/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were rising pre-bell Thursday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) advancing by 0.7% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was nearly 1% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 0.5%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.6% higher at $64.72 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.6% to $67.26 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 0.4% at $3.09 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
ConocoPhillips ( COP ) stock was up more than 2% after the company posted Q2 adjusted earnings and total revenue that topped analysts' expectations.
