09:07 AM EDT, 08/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were rising premarket Wednesday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) 0.2% higher.

The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.3% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 1.1%.

Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.2% higher at $63.28 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.2% to $66.27 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 0.5% at $2.82 per 1 million British Thermal Units.

Venture Global ( VG ) shares were more than 12% higher after the company said it won a legal battle against Shell (SHEL) related to liquefied natural gas sales from its Calcasieu project in Louisiana.
