09:03 AM EDT, 10/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were declining premarket Friday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) down 0.4%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) and United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) were 2% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1.6% lower at $60.54 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 1.6% to $64.19 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 2.8% at $3.18 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
BP (BP) has won a case it pursued against Venture Global ( VG ) related to LNG sales from the Calcasieu Project in Louisiana, according to a regulatory filing. Shares of Venture Global ( VG ) were down more than 18% pre-bell.
