09:09 AM EDT, 10/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were edging higher premarket Friday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) advancing by 0.3%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 0.4% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.4% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.1% at $61.87 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.2% to $66.15 per barrel. Natural gas futures were down 0.6% at $3.325 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Eni (E) shares were up more than 2% after the company reported higher Q3 earnings and increased its 2025 share buyback authorization.
