09:10 AM EDT, 10/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were edging higher pre-bell Friday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) up 0.1%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 1.5% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 3.4% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.4% at $60.78 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.3% to $64.56 per barrel. Natural gas futures were up 2.8% at $4.321 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) shares were down 0.8% after the company posted lower Q3 earnings and revenue that also missed analysts' expectations.
