03:38 PM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were mixed late Monday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) both little changed.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index rose 1.9%, while the Dow Jones US Utilities Index gained 0.2%.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 0.1% to $61.01 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent advanced 0.1% to $64.84 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures gained 3.6% to $4.27 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) and state-owned QatarEnergy executives warned that they may stop doing business with the EU if the bloc does not significantly relax its Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, Reuters reported. Exxon shares eased 0.2%.
