03:17 PM EST, 11/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks dropped late Tuesday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) each falling 0.9%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index declined 2.3%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index rose 0.2%.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil declined 0.8% to $60.55 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract decreased 0.7% to $64.45 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures rose 1.6% to $4.34 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Crescent Energy ( CRGY ) shares fell 4.8% after Bloomberg reported the company agreed to sell its conventional oil and gas assets in Wyoming to Aethel Energy for over $400 million.
