03:44 PM EST, 11/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks increased late Monday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index gaining 1.1% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) up 0.9%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index climbed 2.2%, while the Dow Jones US Utilities Index eased 0.2%.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 0.7% to $60.17 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent advanced 0.7% to $64.06 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures gained 1.2% to $4.37 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Pengerang Biorefinery, a joint venture among Eni's (E) Enilive unit, Petronas, and Euglena, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its planned biorefinery in Johor, Malaysia, which will have a processing capacity of up to 650,000 metric tons of renewable feedstock a year. Eni shares added 1.4%.
