03:33 PM EST, 11/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were mixed late Thursday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index down 0.4% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) gaining 0.2%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index was decreasing 0.7%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index was shedding 1.2%.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 0.3% to $58.69 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract advanced 0.5% to $63.01 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures gained 1.5% to $4.60 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, GE Vernova ( GEV ) and Siemens Energy are in talks to supply gas turbines for a $7 billion power project in Syria, Reuters reported. GE Vernova ( GEV ) shares were down 2.8%.
