01:30 PM EST, 11/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were lower Thursday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index decreasing 0.1% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) down 0.3%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index was falling 1.7%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index was fractionally higher.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil declined 0.1% to $59.41 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract decreased 0.1% to $63.47 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures were 0.9% lower at $4.51 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) is ending a force majeure on its Rovuma liquefied natural gas project in Mozambique as security concerns ease, allowing the project to remain on track, Bloomberg reported. Exxon shares edged down 0.1%.
