03:15 PM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks declined late Monday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index shedding 0.7% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) falling 0.5%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index rose 0.3%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index added 0.5%.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 1.3% to $58.83 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent advanced 1.3% to $63.36 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures fell 1% to $4.54 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, National Grid ( NGG ) shares fell 2.1% after BNP Paribas Exane downgraded the stock to underperform from outperform and cut its price target to $70 from $83.
