09:10 AM EST, 11/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were leaning lower premarket Tuesday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) declining by 0.5%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 2.3% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 5% lower.
Front-month US West Intermediate crude oil was down 1.7% at $57.86 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil was down 1.6% to $62.36 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 3.9% at $4.37 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Diversified Energy ( DEC ) shares were up nearly 5% after the company said it has closed the acquisition of Canvas Energy for about $550 million, adding complementary operated producing properties and acreage positions in Oklahoma.
