01:14 PM EST, 12/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were higher Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index rising 0.9% and the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) adding 1%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index was increasing 0.6%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index was up 0.6%.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil was rising 2.3% to $58.03 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract was advancing 2% to $61.83 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures jumped 5.4% to $4.60 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) said Monday it exceeded its previous guidance for finished uranium production, mined uranium ore production and uranium concentrate sales for 2025. Its shares gained 4.4%.
