09:04 AM EDT, 03/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were advancing premarket Thursday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) up 0.7%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 3.7% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 0.4%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 4.5% at $94.40 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil rose by 5.3% to $107.67 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 0.7% higher at $2.97 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Woodside Energy ( WDS ) shares were up more than 2% after the company said it assumed operational control of the Beaumont New Ammonia site in Texas, after completing performance testing.
