09:06 AM EDT, 07/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were advancing pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) 0.4% higher.

The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 1.7% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1.8% lower.

Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.3% higher at $72.26 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil rose 0.4% to $76.62 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 1.6% at $2.96 per 1 million British Thermal Units.

Solaris Energy Infrastructure ( SEI ) will join the S&P SmallCap 600, replacing Catalyst Pharmaceuticals ( CPRX ) , effective prior to the opening of trading next Wednesday, S&P Dow Jones Indices said. Solaris Energy Infrastructure ( SEI ) stock was nearly 4% higher premarket.
