09:28 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were advancing pre-bell Thursday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) 0.1% higher.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 0.5% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was up 0.8%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.3% higher at $62.72 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.2% to $66.39 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 1.4% at $3.38 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Archrock ( AROC ) stock was slightly lower after the company said its Archrock Partners unit plans to fully redeem the $300 million of its outstanding 6.875% senior notes due 2027.
BP (BP) shares were nearly 1% higher after the company said it started oil production at its Murlach project in the UK North Sea.
Energy Transfer ( ET ) and FourPoint Resources have signed an agreement to double the export capacity of the Price River Terminal in Wellington, Utah, FourPoint said. Energy Transfer ( ET ) shares were 0.2% higher premarket.
