09:20 AM EDT, 03/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks advanced pre-bell Tuesday, with The Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) up 0.5%.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) and United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) were 1.3% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1% at $66.71 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 1.1% to reach $70.03 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 0.8% higher at $4.53 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
HighPeak Energy ( HPK ) shares were down past 5% after the company overnight reported lower Q4 net income and operating revenue that also missed analysts' expectations.
Archrock ( AROC ) has agreed to acquire Natural Gas Compression Systems and NGCSE in a cash-and-stock deal valued at about $357 million, the companies said. Archrock ( AROC ) shares were up over 1% premarket.
