09:21 AM EDT, 07/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were advancing pre-bell Wednesday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) was 0.8% higher recently.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was up 0.5% and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was 1.5% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1% at $66.08 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.9% to $67.71 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 0.9% higher at $3.45 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Borr Drilling ( BORR ) shares were up more than 3% after the company said it has secured new contract commitments for four of its premium jack-up rigs, with a total estimated contract revenue of more than $129 million.
TotalEnergies (TTE) shares were up more than 1% after the company said it signed a solar power operating lease agreement with Daehwa Pharmaceutical to install a 1.8 megawatt-peak solar photovoltaic system.
Amplify Energy ( AMPY ) shares were up more than 1% after the company said it closed the sale of all of its non-operated working interest in Eagle Ford assets to Murphy Exploration & Production for $23 million, subject to adjustments.
