The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 0.2% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was up 0.1%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.4% at $81.59 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil was up 0.3% to $85.98 per barrel. Natural gas futures were down 0.6% at $2.725 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Oceaneering International ( OII ) said its Manufactured Products segment secured an umbilical contract worth about $50 million in revenue, with an unnamed domestic independent energy company. Oceaneering International ( OII ) was almost 1% lower pre-bell.
Kosmos Energy ( KOS ) filed a shelf registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission covering the potential sale of its securities from time to time in one or more offerings. Kosmos Energy ( KOS ) was up 0.2% premarket.
TotalEnergies (TTE) and Energie Baden-Wurttemberg won a 2.5 gigawatt auction to develop offshore wind farms in the North Sea that fetched 3.02 billion euros ($3.23 billion), Reuters reported, citing Germany's network regulator. TotalEnergies was 0.8% lower pre-bell.
