09:16 AM EDT, 06/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were advancing premarket Thursday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) 0.4% higher recently.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was up 0.7% and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was 0.9% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.2% at $65.06 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.1% to $67.74 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 0.7% lower at $3.38 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Shell (SHEL) shares were up more than 2% after the company said it is not actively considering a takeover of BP (BP), putting an end to recent speculation about a possible deal between the two oil majors.
Delek Logistics Partners ( DKL ) shares were down more than 3% after the company said it priced an upsized offering of $700 million of 7.375% senior notes due 2033 at par.
Golar LNG (GLNG) shares were 0.2% lower after the company said it priced a private placement of $500 million of its 2.75% convertible senior unsecured notes due Dec. 15, 2030.
