09:24 AM EST, 03/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were advancing premarket Wednesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) recently up 1%.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 1.8% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was up 0.3%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1.9% at $79.66 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea crude oil gained 1.3% to $83.11 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 0.4% higher at $1.97 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Kosmos Energy ( KOS ) was up more than 2% after it priced a private offering of $350 million of 3.125% convertible senior notes due 2030, an increase of $50 million from the previous offering size.
Enbridge ( ENB ) was up 0.8% after it reaffirmed its guidance of 4% to 6% in earnings-per-share growth through 2026 and said it expects average annual EPS growth of around 5% beyond 2026.
