01:59 PM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were lower Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) each easing 0.4%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index was rising 0.4%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index was adding 0.9%.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil was rising 1.2% to $58.75 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract was advancing 1.1% to $63.26 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures fell 1.2% to $4.53 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, TotalEnergies (TTE) is planning a sale of up to a 6% stake in India-based renewable energy company Adani Green Energy, The Economic Times reported. TotalEnergies shares were down 0.2%.
Woodside Energy ( WDS ) workers at the Pluto LNG 2 project were cleared by Australia's Fair Work Commission to hold a strike ballot, Reuters reported. Woodside shares fell 1%.
BP (BP) continued to search for the source of a leak on its Olympic Pipeline near Everett, Washington, on Sunday, nearly two weeks after the breach was detected, news outlets reported. BP shares were 0.2% lower.
