The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 0.7% lower, and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was 7.3% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude was down 0.3% at $76.74 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark Brent oil 0.3% to $80.88 per barrel, and natural-gas futures were up 7.4% at $2.78 per 1 million BTU.
Dominion Energy ( D ) said it completed the sale of its Questar Gas natural-gas utility and its Wexpro cost-of-service gas supply company to Enbridge ( ENB ) for about $4.3 billion, including assumed debt. Enbridge ( ENB ) was 0.1% higher premarket.
FirstEnergy ( FE ) said Friday its electric companies in Ohio will ask state regulators to review base electric rates. FirstEnergy ( FE ) was up 0.4% premarket.
