The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was up 0.1% and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was 2.1% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.8% at $63.01 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.7% to $65.08 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 1.5% lower at $3.64 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Pembina Pipeline ( PBA ) shares were more than 2% lower after the company said it has agreed to issue $200 million of 5.95% fixed-to-fixed rate subordinated notes, series 2, due June 6, 2055.
TotalEnergies (TTE) said it has acquired eight solar projects and two battery storage projects in England from renewable energy firm Low Carbon. Shares of TotalEnergies were down 1% premarket.
Viper Energy ( VNOM ) shares were 0.9% lower after the company said it will acquire Sitio Royalties ( STR ) in an all-equity deal valued at $4.1 billion, including $1.1 billion in net debt, with the transaction backed by Diamondback (FANG) and key Sitio shareholders.
