09:22 AM EDT, 06/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were declining premarket Tuesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) down 1.4% recently.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was down 4.2% and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was 2.2% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 3% at $66.53 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 3% to $68.42 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 1.7% lower at $3.637 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Cheniere Energy (LNG) said its board has decided to proceed with the Corpus Christi midscale trains 8 and 9 debottlenecking project. Shares of Cheniere Energy were 0.2% higher pre-bell.
Crescent Energy ( CRGY ) shares were more than 1% lower after the company said its Crescent Energy Finance unit priced an upsized $600 million offering of 8.375% senior notes due 2034.
