09:19 AM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were declining premarket Tuesday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) down 0.4%.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 1.5% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was up 0.4%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1.7% lower at $63.72 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 1.5% to $67.75 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 0.6% at $2.71 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
BW LPG ( BWLP ) shares were down more than 3% after the company reported a decline in Q2 earnings.
Baker Hughes ( BKR ) said it was awarded a long-term service agreement from BP (BP) for its Tangguh liquefied natural gas plant in Indonesia. Shares of BP were down more than 1% pre-bell.
