09:30 AM EDT, 06/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were edging higher early Thursday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) recently up 0.3%.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 0.2% higher, and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was up 3.1%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude was up 0.2% at $74.20 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark Brent gained 0.2% to $78.55 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 3.2% at $2.85 per 1 million BTU.
Dorian LPG ( LPG ) fell more than 9% after it priced its underwritten public offering of 2 million common shares at $44.50 each.
Oil-Dri Corp. of America ( ODC ) was nearly 5% higher after it raised its quarterly dividend to $0.31 per share, payable on Aug. 23 to shareholders on record on Aug. 9.
