The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was down 0.2% and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was 0.2% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1.0% higher at $68.07 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.9% to $71.64 per barrel. Natural gas futures were down 0.5% at $2.848 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
CECO Environmental ( CECO ) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Profire Energy ( PFIE ) for $125 million in cash. Profire Energy ( PFIE ) shares surged past 47% premarket.
BP (BP) shares were down more than 3% after the company reported lower Q3 underlying earnings and revenue.
Enterprise Products Partners ( EPD ) shares were up 0.3% after the company reported higher Q3 earnings and revenue.
