09:25 AM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were edging higher premarket Friday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF ( XLE ) marginally advancing.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 2.5% lower and The United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was down 2.1%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 2.6% at $93.26 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 1.9% to reach $98.54 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 2.6% lower at $3.15 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR), or Petrobras, said its board approved joining the economic subsidy program for the commercialization of road diesel in Brazil. Petrobras shares were 0.4% higher pre-bell.
Hallador Energy ( HNRG ) stock was down more than 5% after the company reported fiscal 2025 net income and revenue that missed analysts' expectations.
