03:39 PM EDT, 08/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks declined late Monday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index dropping 0.4% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) shedding 0.6%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index lost 1.8%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index eased 0.4%.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 0.2% to $64.03 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent advanced 0.2% to $66.71 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures fell 1% to $2.96 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Zeo Energy ( ZEO ) completed its purchase of Heliogen, a provider of clean energy technology. Zeo shares fell 1%.
FirstEnergy ( FE ) unit Jersey Central Power & Light plans to invest $15.4 million in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, to make electric service more reliable. FirstEnergy ( FE ) shares rose 0.1%.
Enphase Energy ( ENPH ) launched its IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase in Australia. The shares gained 0.7%.
