01:53 PM EST, 02/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were lower Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index falling 1.5% and the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) dropping 1.7%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index was shedding 1.8%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index decreased 0.3%.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil was declining 0.8% to $62.38 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract was dropping 1.8% to $67.39 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures fell 6.4% to $3.04 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, SunocoCorp ( SUNC ) shares were down 0.4% after it reported a Q4 net loss Tuesday of $0.10 per diluted unit. Two analysts polled by FactSet expected net income of $1.90.
Enlight Renewable Energy ( ENLT ) shares jumped nearly 16% after it reported a surprise Q4 profit.
Ormat ( ORA ) shares rose 5.1% after it said Tuesday it has entered into a long-term geothermal power purchase agreement with NV Energy, supporting data center operations of Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google in Nevada with up to 150 megawatts of new capacity.
