09:11 AM EDT, 08/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were rising pre-bell Thursday, with The Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) up 0.7%.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 0.8% higher and The United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was up 0.6%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.7% higher at $64.79 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.6% to reach $67.30 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 0.6% at $3.09 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
ConocoPhillips ( COP ) stock was up more than 2% after the company posted Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue that topped analysts' expectations.
Cheniere Energy (LNG) shares were up 0.9% after the company posted higher Q2 earnings and revenue.
Targa Resources ( TRGP ) shares were marginally lower even after the company reported higher Q2 net income and revenue.
