09:24 AM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were rising pre-bell Wednesday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) was up 0.3% recently.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was 0.7% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was down 3.3%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.3% lower at $65.09 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.4% to $68.34 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 3.4% lower at $3.174 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Baker Hughes ( BKR ) shares were up more than 2% after the company reported higher Q2 adjusted diluted earnings.
Equinor ( EQNR ) shares were down 0.9% after the company reported lower Q2 adjusted earnings, along with a decline in adjusted revenue and other income.
Woodside Energy Group ( WDS ) shares were up 0.8% after the company reported an increase in Q2 revenue.
