03:21 PM EDT, 06/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks rose in late Monday afternoon trading with the NYSE Financial Index adding 1.4% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) increasing 1.2%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index added 1%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) gained 0.8%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) slumped 4.5% to $60,302, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries eased to 4.25%.

In economic news, the Dallas Fed's monthly manufacturing index rose to minus 15.1 in June from minus 19.4 in May, compared with expectations for minus 15 in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.

In corporate news, Lead Real Estate ( LRE ) , a Japanese real estate developer, plans to build a "premium series" hotel in Tokyo. The shares tumbled 71%.
