08:59 AM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Thursday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) recently fell by 0.2%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 0.8% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.6% higher.

Marathon Digital Holdings ( MARA ) was up over 1% after saying it has started mining Kaspa (KAS-USD), a proof-of-work digital asset in a move to diversify its portfolio.
