08:57 AM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing premarket Monday, with The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) 0.3% higher.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 1% higher and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was down 1.2%.

Prestige Wealth ( PWM ) shares were up past 118% after the company said Friday that it agreed to acquire SPW Global for $4.5 million, subject to customary closing price adjustments.
