The Philadelphia Housing Index was up 0.1%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was adding 0.6%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 3.1% to $63,545, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 2 basis points to 3.77%.
In economic news, the Institute for Supply Management's Chicago PMI reading rose to 46.6 in September from 46.1 in August, above the 46.0 print expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
