01:33 PM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were decreasing in Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index shedding 0.8% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) down 1%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was down 0.1%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was retreating 0.8%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 1.5% to $63,631, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 3.7 basis points to 4.02%.

In corporate news, Blue Owl Capital (OWL) said Monday that it agreed to buy digital infrastructure fund manager IPI Partners for $1 billion in a move that will add $10.5 billion in assets under management. Blue Owl shares added 0.2%.
