09:00 AM EST, 11/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing premarket Thursday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) was 0.5% higher recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 1.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 1% lower.

Manulife Financial ( MFC ) shares were 1% higher after the company said it signed a 5.4 billion Canadian dollars ($3.87 billion) reinsurance agreement with Reinsurance Group of America ( RGA ) .
