01:40 PM EST, 01/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index up 0.2% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) adding 0.4%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was climbing 1%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was rising 0.6%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was falling 3% to $92,142, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was slightly higher at 4.78%.

In corporate news, Goldman Sachs ( GS ) said Monday it's combining its financing, origination, structuring and risk management solution activities in the global banking and markets division. Its shares rose 0.2%.
