The Philadelphia Housing Index was falling 1.5%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was adding 0.1%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) shed 1% to $103,990, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was slightly higher at 4.53%.
In economic news Friday, US Bureau of Economic Analysis data showed Friday that the personal consumption expenditures price index rose by 0.3% in December, as expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
In corporate news, Visa (V) reported fiscal Q1 non-GAAP earnings late Thursday of $2.75 per diluted share, up from $2.41 a year earlier and above the consensus estimate from analysts surveyed by FactSet of $2.66. Its shares added 0.2%.
