03:28 PM EDT, 06/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks increased in late Friday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index up 1.1% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) adding 1.3%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index shed 0.5%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was up 0.4%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) increased 2.9% to $104,467, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose nearly 12 basis points to 4.51%.

In economic news, total nonfarm payrolls rose by 139,000 in May, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said, above the consensus forecast of 126,000 in a survey conducted by Bloomberg.

US consumer credit use rose by $17.9 billion in April, compared with a $10 billion increase expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.

In corporate news, Abacus Global Management ( ABL ) shares jumped nearly 8% after it said Friday that its board authorized a $20 million share buyback program.
