Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was up 2.5% at $108,385, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was down 3 basis points at 4.48%.
In economic news, consumer expectations for one-year US inflation growth eased to 3.2% in May from 3.6% in the previous month, according to a survey released by the New York Federal Reserve Bank on Monday.
In corporate news, Barclays ( BCS ) is readying plans to cut over 200 jobs in its investment bank in the coming days as part of its plan to boost the division's profitability, Bloomberg reported. Barclays ( BCS ) shares were down 0.3%.
