03:32 PM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were lower in late Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index easing 0.2% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) down 0.4%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index was climbing 1.4%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) added 0.1%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was up 2.8% at $108,629, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries fell 3 basis points to 4.48%.
In economic news, consumer expectations for one-year US inflation growth eased to 3.2% in May from 3.6% in the previous month, according to a survey released by the New York Federal Reserve Bank on Monday.
Wholesale inventories rose 0.2% in April, revised from flat in the advance estimate and following a 0.3% gain in March. Analysts in a Bloomberg-compiled survey expected April inventories to be unrevised.
In corporate news, EToro ( ETOR ) shares rose 9% after multiple analysts initiated coverage on the company.
